Our ESG Journey

At Verhoeven, we are working to build a sustainable and future-proof organisation. With an eye to the future, we have systematically mapped out our performance in the areas of Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) for 2025. Where possible, we compare the results with available data from 2024, so that we can provide insight into our progress and lay the foundations for the coming years. 

 

Although Verhoeven is not subject to the statutory CSRD reporting requirements, we have made a conscious decision to embark on this process. By providing insight into our impact, performance and risks, we can make better choices for the future and work in a targeted manner towards further improvement. 

In our first ESG report, we have focused on the topics that are most relevant to Verhoeven and our stakeholders. The focus is on climate and energy, material use and circularity, health and safety, and the development of our employees. These themes are in line with our ambition to create value in a responsible manner for customers, employees, partners and society. 

Key results for 2025 

  • A 6.35% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions compared with 2024.
  • A 20.4% reduction in CO₂ intensity per euro of turnover.
  • Further development of innovative solutions that support customers in reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions, including our Vacuum Cooling Technology.
  • Greater insight into material flows, circularity and waste reduction within our organisation.
  • Ongoing focus on safety, wellbeing, craftsmanship and staff development.


    This first ESG report lays an important foundation for the future. The insights we have gained will help us to further improve our performance, set new targets and continue to monitor our progress in a transparent manner. In this way, we are building, step by step, a strong, innovative and future-proof organisation.
